A few weeks ago I got to illustrate Mark Bittman's column for the Dining section of The New York Times.
It was about an amazing sauce that has the power to conjure memories of the Mediterranean.
The focus is on three main ingredients, Fennel, Olives and tomatoes. yum!
I started off concentrating my efforts on the ingredients, especially fennel. I had fun drawing that, oh and olives.
But the gist of the piece wasn't about the ingredients, it was about the magical transformation into the warmth of the Mediterranean coast.
