I've actually seen this, where turtles create these vertical lines, stacking themselves on top of each other.
This was for the famed art director SooJin Buzelli for an article that ran in PlanSponsor Magazine.
She is such a great art director to work for, who knows the true secret of distilling. A simple statement; for me it was "too fast a growth that it causes immobility."
I did other sketches, but this one came to me the morning I was to submit the sketch. I originally had a larger stack, with more turtles on top. But in SooJin's designer wisdom she said 3 was it!
