Masters Class 2007

Celebration and congratulations to my Class of 2007, the First Masters Class in Illustration to graduate from FIT. The past 22 months can be described with many adjectives, exhausting, and empowering to name a few.
Radio City Music Hall is beautiful, as is New York City. I am grateful for my education, now and 20 years ago from SVA. I feel blessed to be able to achieve this.
For those who couldn't be there please know you were missed.

subway muscian series continues

Imagine the sight or the noise that makes one stop and take notice.
Watch the Gap....
Work resumes on my subway musician book, which I hope to have done in May.

* Cookie update: She's been very playful, she wants to be back to normal. There is a bit of resistance in her back legs. But she still has no control.
Thanks Mom!

paint with light

Understanding photography and more specifically light and how it affects forms is important for any artist. Thanks to our special guest, photographer Bill Kontzias (www.billkphotography.com) who showed his concept of painting with light. Our studio demonstration class allowed us to paint with light, here is an example of using "key and fill" with color gels to create amazing images, as well as, an interesting photograph.
Thanks Dennis Dittrich for yet another batch of donuts and for having a wonderful guest.
Our model is fellow MA candidate Bri Hermanson. (Thanks Bri).
